DataDirect Networks this week announced the appointment of Manfred Benecken as vice president of customer service. In his new role, Benecken will lead DataDirect’s newly expanded customer services group to create a world class global support organization.

According to DataDirect Networks, it sees the establishment of a strong support infrastructure as strategic to the growth of their organization, and it is expected that Benecken will also join DataDirect Networks’ executive management team.

DataDirect’s customer service activities had previously been overseen by the company’s technical services staff. With Benecken now onboard, the company will create a separate group to expand support activities.

“DataDirect Networks is focused on achieving total customer satisfaction to better serve the needs of our end users, partners and OEMs,” Alex Bouzari, chief executive officer, DataDirect Networks, said. “As the direct result of our recent funding, and under Manfred’s proven leadership, we will now build up our customer services portfolio.”

“DataDirect Networks has great business potential in the fast-growing SAN appliance market, and strong support and professional services will further augment business development while ensuring the highest customer satisfaction,” Benecken said. “I’m very excited to be part of this future- oriented company.”
