Information technology testing, planning, and consulting firm National Software Testing Laboratories, Inc. (NSTL) and Executive Software this week announced a partnership to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of Executive Software’s disk defragmenter software, Diskeeper(R) 6.0.
According to the companies, NSTL compared Diskeeper 6.0 with Windows 2000 Disk Defragmenter(R) and found that Diskeeper 6.0 outperformed the embedded Windows utility. In testing, NSTL simulated fragmentation with its proprietary Fragger utility on single and dual processor systems as well as a variety of large drives, including software and hardware RAID arrays.
“Comprehensive testing was conducted to ensure a thorough evaluation of each product in an enterprise environment,” explains Lloyd Holder, CEO of NSTL. “These tests clearly show that on systems running Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, Server, and Advanced Server, Diskeeper is the better product for defragmentation. Executive Software has gone to great lengths to have their product claims independently tested and we are very pleased to have worked with them on this project.”
Executive Software plans to leverage the “NSTL-Tested” logo to further promote its newest release, Diskeeper 6.0.
