Eurologic(TM) Systems, a provider of network storage solutions for the OEM, indirect channel, and vertical market applications markets, announced a number of joint demonstrations of Eurologic’s 2Gbps Fibre Channel-ready SANbloc(TM) network storage system to take place during the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show in Las Vegas.
The company said the demonstrations, configured and tested under Eurologic’s LINK Alliance Program, show how Fibre Channel-enabled SAN solutions help video and broadcasting professionals to increase efficiency.
The demonstration at Forefront Graphics’ booth (E3150), features Eurologic’s SANbloc FC2100 and FC2500 running with a Drastic VVW7000 High Definition server. The company said the VVW7000 uncompressed high-definition video server takes advantage of the high throughput of the Eurologic SANbloc Series, which can deliver upwards of the 150Mbytes per second throughput required for 10-bit uncompressed video at 1080 resolution.
Another demonstration will be running at Matrox Video Group’s booth (S4113). This demonstration will show a SAN configuration featuring Matrox’s DigiSuite real-time editing platform and a Forefront SAN solution based on Eurologic’s SANbloc FC2500. Eurologic said the demonstration will show how media assets and projects can be concurrently shared over a SAN.
At the Incite Multimedia booth (I6439) in the Sands Expo Center, Incite’s editing systems will be running on a SAN configuration featuring Eurologic’s SANbloc 2500 as its central storage. The company said this demonstration will show Incite’s network-based media management capabilities and ability to deliver multiple layers of real-time video effects over a SAN.
Nick Thickins, Director of Applications Marketing for Eurologic, said, “Not only do these demonstrations show the improved efficiency SANs provide video and broadcasting applications, they also provide a clear example of how vendors can successfully work together to bring to market storage-centric solutions that interoperate seamlessly within the SAN. Eurologic has been particularly successful at working with early supporters of storage-enabling technologies, like Forefront, to configure, test, and deploy stable SAN solutions tailored with the scalability and performance demanded by the application’s specific requirements. For users, pre-tested configurations mean a high return on their initial investment, as well as smooth SAN operation.”
