LSI Logic Storage Systems Inc. announced that its MetaStor(R) E2400, E3300, and E4400 storage systems have received Novell’s “Yes, Tested and Approved(TM)” certification by proving interoperability with Novell(R) Cluster Services(TM) for NetWare(R) 5.1.

According to the company, this certification assures users that MetaStor E-Series storage systems will function properly in a Novell NetWare 5.1 clustering environment.

“Round-the-clock uptime is absolutely essential to e-business,” said Carleton Watkins, director of worldwide developer support for Novell. “By integrating Novell clustering technology with the MetaStor E-Series SAN-attached storage systems, we are delivering the power of LSI Logic Storage Systems’ high data availability to the most demanding segments of the Internet economy.”

“This is important news for users of clustered servers in the open enterprise, especially in mission-critical applications such as customer relationship management, information portals, resource planning, and e-tailing,” said Gerard Meluso, director of alliances for LSI Logic Storage Systems, Inc. “The result of our collaboration with Novell is that our range of highly available, very scalable, very fast, storage area networks are now ideally suited for the extreme requirements of e-business in a clustered NetWare server environment.”
