SANZ Joins ESRI Business Partner Program

Storage Area Networks (SANZ), a provider of data storage solutions, announced it has joined the Business Partner Program of Environmental Systems Research Institute Inc. (ERSI), a leading provider of GIS software applications.

According to the company, as an ESRI Business Partner, SANZ will provide its GEMS geospatial data appliance to users of ESRI’s ArcIMS software product and the Geography Network, a worldwide collaborative system enabling public and private sectors to spatially integrate and share geographic data.

Jack Dangermond, president of ESRI said, “The Geography Network is as important as any accomplishment we have ever achieved. ESRI is committed to continuing research and build technology that will facilitate the convergence of the Internet and GIS tools, allowing geographic information to be shared by everyone.”

SANZ said its GEMS appliance is a comprehensive solution designed to meet the data storage requirements of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) professional. The company claims GEMS provides easy access, rapid retrieval and secure storage of GIS data, and expects it to be available to data providers and users of the Geography Network in June, 2001.
