StorageTek Names New Vice President

StorageTek(R) (Storage Technology Corp.) this week announced it has named George Karabatsos as Vice President to head up Channel programs to help drive business for distributors and resellers. Karabatsos will report to Michael McLay, vice president, U.S./Canada Sales and Service.


Karabatsosv joins StorageTek from Seagate Technology. The company said he is charged with ensuring that the relationships between StorageTek and its Channel partners are maximized. He will review the company’s Channel strategy and enhance communication between StorageTek and its partners.


“George brings more than 20 years of high-tech experience to the table. His expertise and knowledge of planning, building and managing a channel distribution strategy will assist StorageTek in focusing on the needs of our growing channel,” said McLay. “He will also act as a valuable liaison to our overall field engagement.”
