Bid.Com Signs As Sprint Canada’s Auction Partner

Inc.
Friday forged an agreement with Sprint Canada Inc. to
provide the auction component for its revamped portal.


The deal is part of Sprint Canada’s portal expansion, in which it has introduced new features such as a shopping engine with 2,500 online retailers, a free online directory resource, e-calendaring and auction functions, free e-cards and a user rewards program. The site also now links to 19 content channels.


“The alignment with one of Canada’s foremost portal sites is
expected to provide an added boost to our growing registered user base
in the fast growing Canadian market,” said Jeff Lymburner, president and CEO of Bid.Com International Inc.


Sprint Canada Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canadian telco Call-Net Enterprises
Inc., is a Canadian communications solutions companies, offering voice,
data and online services. The company also owns and operates an extensive North American network with operations in the U.S. and the U.K.


Bid.Com, with offices in Toronto, Tampa, and Dublin, offers an
online auction platform for
joint ventures into B-to-B markets, licensing custom branded e-commerce
solutions and for distribution through broadband and cable media.
