INTERSHOP Communications, leading provider of e-commerce systems, is hitting the road to give classes on e-commerce opportunities.

A travelling e-commerce college will call on 20 ISP partners in 25 German, Austrian and Swiss cities, April 20 through July 15. E-commerce sales top USD 15 billion worldwide. In Germany alone, Internet sales have almost reached DEM 3 billion. An estimated eight million German citizens will be surfing the Web by next year.

Two separate INTERSHOP classes aim to give insight into the secrets of business success on the Web. The e-commerce business course targets SMEs looking for e-commerce projects using standard applications, whereas INTERSHOP’s e-commerce plus course primarily targets big business interested in integrating options provided by INTERSHOP in ERP systems, like SAP/3 or in procurement applications for developing multi-stage value creation chains.

Intershop produces and markets both standard and custom software for Internet trade.

Recently INTERSHOP 3 was designated the best electronic commerce solution by the US trade magazine Network Computing.
