SOMERS, N.Y., Oct. 23–IBM announced that it
has acquired OpenOrders, a provider of enterprise-scale order
management and fulfillment software for e-commerce. The acquisition further
expands IBM’s leadership in
business-to-business e-commerce software. OpenOrders is a private company
based in Newton, Massachusetts, and this acquisition strengthens IBM’s
WebSphere Commerce Suite software as IBM will incorporate OpenOrders’
technology into its family of e-commerce offerings. The Financial terms of
the agreement were not disclosed.

DURHAM, N.C., Oct. 23–Arsenal Digital Solutions, the
industry’s first Storage and Application Service Provider (SASP), and
filefrenzy, a pioneer of affordable, intuitive and secure Internet
content management, announced they have entered into a binding definitive
agreement for Arsenal to
acquire filefrenzy in a
stock-for-stock transaction. The acquisition combines Arsenal’s
“pay-as-you-go” storage utility with filefrenzy’s advanced data management
tool, creating a one-stop total solution for enterprise customers and will
enable Arsenal to immediately offer storage applications for managing and
sharing digital information.

RESTON, Va., Oct. 23–IndustrialAmerica, a B2B marketplace
specifically targeted at the $1 trillion global industrial supplies
industry, and eCatalogs, the first catalog service provider for this
market, have signed an agreement to merge the two companies to form MROLink Corporation. The newly merged
company will provide the most comprehensive industrial supplies platform
for content, connectivity and commerce. Both eCatalogs and IndustrialAmerica are backed by
Internet Capital Group , which will maintain a
majority stake in MROLink.

ENCINO, Calif., Oct. 23–Sitestar Corporation , an Internet holding company, announced that it has submitted
an offer letter to the management of Fashionmall.com to acquire all of Fashionmall.com’s outstanding shares
for $3 per share in cash. This price represents a 40% premium from its
closing price of $2.0625 per share on the day the offer was made. The offer
is valued at approximately $22.5 million.
