Xenos Supports Linux for Document Presentment

Online document firm Xenos Group said it is
among the first in online documentation to support the Linux operating
system.

Linux operates with a wide range of software and is a popular OS in the e-commerce industry.

“The addition of Linux support to our product line enables Xenos to
deliver on its promise to clients: we provide best-of-breed solutions in
the electronic document presentment business,” said Martin
Heenan, president of Xenos, which
offers software for electornic bill presentment and payment (EBPP).

“Adding support for Linux ensures that our clients can run our software
on all contemporary production platforms, including MVS, S/390, AIX, HP
UX, Sun Solaris, NT, and now Linux,” said Stephen D. Poe, CTO for Xenos.
Linux support will be available for Xenos’ Documorph and the entire
family of transform program products in beta versions in the first
quarter of 2000.

Linux includes true multi-tasking, virtual memory, shared libraries,
demand loading, proper memory management, TCP/IP networking, and other
features consistent with UNIX-type systems.

Killen & Associates, a leading market research and consulting firm,
recently predicted a $32 billion North American electronic statement and
electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) market by 2005.
