ACD Systems, Conducent Signs Net Ad Agreement

Canada’s ACD Systems Ltd. has signed an agreement with Conducent, Inc., a U.S.-based company that
integrates advertising and Internet functionality in software.

Conducent’s technology will be embedded in ACDExpress, ACD’s instant messaging network communications software, and will permit the delivery of advertisements over the Internet to ACDExpress users every time they access the Internet.

Advertisements will appear as small banners or buttons within ACDExpress
and will be updated remotely by Conducent. ACDExpress users will be able
to link into an advertiser’s domain by clicking on the banner.

Conducent’s technology records the number of advertisements viewed, so
that ADC Systems will receive commissions on ads viewed on its software.
This agreement will generate additional Internet exposure for ACD
products through a distribution relationship between Conducent and Lycos, Inc.

ACDExpress shareware programs will be available from the Lycos Network,
which operates the second most visited hub on the Internet and reaches
more than 48 percent of Web users.

Conducent, Inc. develops proprietary technology that operates with the
Internet to deliver, update and rotate selected advertising to PC
software users.
