Dot Hill Expands the Sannet Blade Line

Dot Hill Systems Corp., a provider of carrier-class information storage and storage area network (SAN) solutions, today introduced the SANnet(TM) 1U (1.75 inches high) JBOD Blade.


Dott Hill said the SANnet 1U JBOD Blade is designed to meet the information storage needs of small to medium sized enterprises in addition to Point of Presence (POP) storage sites, Network Operation Centers, and Enterprise Data Centers with critical database application requirements.


According to the company, this channel-ready, rack mountable product may be used as a standalone storage system, or as an expansion subsystem for the SANnet RAID Blade storage system. Each SANnet 1U JBOD Blade contains four front-mounted disk drives with a capacity choice of 18GB (gigabytes), 36GB or 73GB and is hot swappable.
