InterSAN announced it will support storage networks based on the Virtual Storage Networking (IN-VSN) architecture of INRANGE Technologies
InterSAN’s Pathline software now provides support for INRANGE’s FC/9000 edge switches. In addition, InterSAN and INRANGE are working together to enable support for INRANGE’s FC/9000 director class switches.
InterSAN said its Pathline software allows enterprises to efficiently manage large, complex Storage Area Networks (SANs) by taking an applications-oriented view that masks the complexity of the SAN infrastructure. According to the company, Pathline allows enterprises toautomatically provision, configure, manage, and monitor heterogeneous devices across globally distributed storage-networking environments from a central location. Support for INRANGE’s FC/9000 fibre channel director and edge switches includes discovery, continuous health monitoring, and transparent, automatic configuration.
