Procom Technology Inc., a manufacturer of data storage appliances and network attached storage (NAS), today announced that it has added a pair of storage industry veterans to lead its sales and marketing force as it accelerates company-wide efforts to capture a larger share of an increasingly cost-conscious market for network storage.
Mimi Howard and Jim Biernacki join Procom as director of Product Marketing and director of U.S. NAS Sales, respectively.
“The time is ripe for Procom to press its price/performance advantage, and we have chosen two of the industry’s most capable leaders to help us do this,” said Jack Bonne, Procom’s vice president of Worldwide Sales and Technical Support.
“Their marketing savvy, product branding experience and knowledge of network storage will put Procom at the top of its game and contribute to a continued attitude of success throughout the company,” said Bonne.
Howard has extensive experience in developing and leading successful marketing campaigns at companies within the storage industry and is heavily involved in correlated associations.
Immediately prior to joining Procom, she was vice president of Marketing at Dot Hill Systems in Carlsbad, Calif. She was also director of Marketing at Hitachi Data Systems and has served in marketing management positions at Storage Concepts and SGI.
Biernacki moves to Procom from MTI Corp., where he served as Regional Sales director. Biernacki was also vice president of Sales for Storage Concepts Inc., Alternative Channels Sales manager at EMC Corp./Sanyo Icon Inc., and director of Software Sales at McDonnell Douglas Computer Systems.
