StorageTek(R) announced it is expanding its presence in the financial services market segment by teaming with NCR Corp., a provider of customer relationship management applications and payment processing solutions.

The company said its StorageTek Application Storage Manager(TM) (ASM) intelligent data-movement software is now being offered with NCR’s ImageMark Archive, a check image and transaction archive solution that allows for automated data management and storage virtualization capabilities.

“The ASM-ImageMark offering allows NCR to set a new standard in the industry for Image Archive performance,” said Joe Kniceley, vice president of NCR Payment Solutions, Americas. “In today’s digital world, the time has passed for using microfilm and optical storage as the preferred archive media. Financial institutions want a high-performing, seven-year transaction repository that offers Internet research with image delivery, and the NCR / StorageTek solution is delivering.”

“StorageTek is committed to offering cutting-edge storage solutions to customers in the financial services market,” said Bob Koecheler, vice president of StorageTek Global OEM and Strategic Alliances. “Teaming with NCR, a world-leader in customer relationship technology, creates an opportunity to leverage each other’s expertise in meeting customers’ complex storage management needs and facilitating seamless performance in a cost-saving manner.”
