Nishan Systems Names StorNet as Charter Alliance Partner

Nishan Systems announced it signed storage solutions provider StorNet as a charter alliance partner for the deployment of Nishan’s IP Storage products.

StorNet officials said their decision to endorse Nishan’s suite of IP Storage products was based on the wire-speed performance, seamless interoperability with existing end systems and SAN-aware software solutions, and the products’ ability to backup large amounts of data. StorNet said it seeks to gain a competitive advantage by being the first to offer IP Storage networking SAN solutions for their customers’ storage applications such as backup/recovery, distance connectivity, storage consolidation, high availability storage access, and remote mirroring.

“Nishan’s IP Storage solutions provide a tremendous market opportunity for us to sell not only to existing customers who want to extend their SANs, but also to reach new prospects who prefer to use IP as the protocol of choice in deploying their SAN architecture,” said Derek Gamradt, StorNet’s Chief Technology Officer. “Our customers are searching for storage networks that are robust, scalable, and most of all, easy to use.”

“StorNet has an impressive roster of skilled SAN specialists who know how to plan, design, implement, and manage SAN solutions for enterprise customers,” said Bill Lozoff, director of channel alliances for Nishan Systems. “Leveraging their highly experienced sales teams to bring Nishan’s innovative IP Storage solutions to new markets presents exciting opportunities for both companies. We look forward to growing this relationship to highly successful levels as we move forward.”

StorNet joins IBM Global Services as the first charter alliance partners for Nishan’s IP Storage products.
