Xiotech Corp.announced that it has become a Certified Solution Partner in the Oracle Storage Compatibility Program (OSCP).

The company said that their Magnitude hardware platform and Redi Software were both validated in the Snapshot Technology and Remote Mirroring categories of the OSCP program.

“Not only did the Xiotech Magnitude and Redi Software achieve OSCP qualification for remote mirroring and snapshot technology, but we went a step further by creating an Oracle standards laboratory for the certification of further Oracle architecture,” said Richard Blaschke, executive vice president of Marketing for Xiotech. “Our customers have the highest confidence in the compatibility between Oracle and Xiotech products.”

According to Xiotech, its virtualized storage architecture improves Oracle database availability, allowing administrators to add, remove, expand, and move storage in seconds with the system remaining online. The company will demonstrate its products at Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco’s Moscone Center this week.
